Hey Ranger Daniel, can you tell me
The difference 'tween a 'gator and a croc?
Can you tell me a simple rule by which
I can tell which one is what?
He said a gator has a rounded snout
Like a letter "U", you see
While the croc has got a pointy nose
It is shaped like the letter "V"
And a crocodile is tan or gray
Or something in between
While a gator's black, or maybe brown
Only Gatorade is green!
Chorus: And that is how you tell the difference
Between these two reptiles
See you later, alligator
In a while, crocodile
Hey Ranger Lil, can you tell me
The difference 'tween a 'gator and a croc
She said, you oughta look at the water
So you can tell which one is what
The gator likes fresh water
And that's where he likes to be
But the crocodile likes salty water
Like you find in the open sea
So the gator builds a gator hole
Where he can stay when the weather's dry
But the croc can swim across the ocean
He's a very well-travelled guy!
Repeat Chorus:
SOLO
And Ranger Olivia says
That gator's got a handsome grin
He looks like a crocodile would look
When the orthodontist gets through with him
And that is how you tell the difference
Between these two reptiles
See you later, alligator
In a while, crocodile
I mean, see you later, alligator
In a while, crocodile
